Course Outline:

Wk 1 & Wk2

"Our thoughts create our reality"

Introduction to public speaking. What is in a name? The importance of a first impression. Poise and posture. Body language. Become more confident.

"We teach people how to treat us"

Make Up Artistry - day make up. Learn the "tricks of the trade". Eye and face shapes. Foundation application for a flawless skin. www.marinaqueena.com

Wk 3 & Wk 4

"If I do what I have always done, I'll get what I've always had"

Public Speaking and Mind Power. Learn the art of positive self promotion. Students will present a prepared speech.

A life coach educates the girls about  positive thoughts, goal planning, learning to love what they see in the mirror, eliminate limiting beliefs, attracting love, success and abundance.

"Value what you have and have only things in your life you value"

Dress Sense. Colors, styles and cuts to suit each individual. Dressing like a queen... on a small budget. Latest fashion trends and creative ideas. The girls are taken op shopping after this class to learn how to dress for less.

Wk 5 & Wk 6

"What you constantly think is going to happen, tends to happen"

Music Theraphy: An inspiring and creative class where students are shown how their emotions can be expressed through music. The girls are taught how to journal their thoughts and how to be in touch with their emotions through a music therapists expertise.

Job Application Skills: East Coast Human Resources educates the girls on how to write a great resume, tips on interview skills, dressing for success and goal setting. East Coast will at the end of the course, select a canadate that will go onto win a package from them to help best prepare them for their careers (even if that is applying for a part time /casual job)

"Our subconscious mind greatly shapes our health"

 Drug, alcohol and eating disorder education.  Trained experts give insight into looking after our body and the devastating effect of substance abuse. Teen Challenge covers the drug and alcohol education and a nutritionist covers the eating disorders and self harm, healthy eating, healthy mind education, making this a powerful class.

Wk 7 & Wk 8

"A problem shared is a problem halved"

Expressing emotions... processing life. A trained counsellor will advise students on how to build positive relationships with family and friends and offer advice on challenging teenage years. Conflict resolution, boundaries, depression, bullying and personal growth are all covered in this class.

"Always act as if it were impossible to fail"

Students will learn from a professional hairdresser and stylist: Styling the hair, hair types, and hair care. Product knowledge. Tools for styling, colours and cuts to suit each individual.

Wk 9 & Wk 10

"There is power in forgiveness"

Social Etiquette dinner: A 3 course meal. Students learn table etiquette and conversation skills. Eye contact and body language. Table setting, cutlery and crockery manoeuvre. Styles of dining, Business and telephone Etiquette.

"Big thoughts get big results, little thoughts get little results"

Photographic shoot and Final assessment. Students do their own make up, hair and wardrobe styling. Greg Gardner will be taking individual photos of each student as a reminder of their "Beautiful Minds Journey".
