Tania De Brincat

Since becoming a Registered Music Therapist, Tania has had the pleasure of working with a wide array of people. She has conducted Music Therapy programs in Port Philip Prison in Melbourne in the youth unit and the psycho-social unit and was employed by Yooralla in Melbourne conducting individual Music Therapy with consumers at their respite houses. She has worked in nursing homes, including a psycho-geriatric nursing home, as well as in hospitals conducing Music Therapy sessions in Palliative Care, Rehabilitation, and Aged Mental Health.

Currently Tania has her own private practice on the Sunshine Coast and is predominantly working with adolescents. She is conducting her SMILE program in high schools in the area and is working with young people in foster care on an individual basis. Tania is also a Session Leader with the Sing & Grow program and has had the privilege of working with local indigenous groups as well as travelling to Katherine in the Northern Territory to conduct Music Therapy sessions with children and parents in the aboriginal communities.

Tania’s role with Beautiful Minds will be educating the girls about how to express their emotions through music therapy in a positive form. Her class is about inspiring young girls to aim for the best, to create a positive life and to learn how to fulfill oneself.
